Emprise teams up with Brainwave to Launch the Walk for Kids Charity Fundraiser
~Brainwave Walk for Kids Raises over Double the Fundraising Target at Launch Event~
London, 23rd June 2011 – Emprise Services plc, leading support services provider, and Brainwave, children's charity, on 21st June sent circa 200 people on a 5km treasure hunt around London to raise funds for a child with Cerebral Palsy.
Emprise is part of the Brainwave Guardian Scheme through which Emprise has sponsored Chase, a little boy from London who has cerebral palsy, to receive a year's home based therapy.
The Brainwave Walk for Kids proved to be a hugely successful day for the charity after raising over double the target amount. Emprise and Brainwave had aimed to raise enough to sponsor Chase for a further year of therapy but due to exceptional generosity of clients, suppliers and industry colleagues enough was raised to provide two years' worth of therapy for a child on the Brianwave programme.
Emprise is delighted to have teamed up with Brainwave to make the organisation its official charity of 2011 and sponsor Chase. Emprise has been thrilled to continue this relationship and has become more closely involved with the charity and children it supports through both the Guardian Scheme and the launch of the Brainwave Walk for Kids. "We see our partnership with Brainwave as a great way to raise awareness of the important work Brainwave are doing for families like Chase's across the country. We enjoyed working with Brainwave over 2010 and having seen what a phenomenal contribution they make to the families involved, we are only too pleased to show our support and make our own contribution." comments Tony Hampson, Executive Director, Operations at Emprise. "The Brainwave Walk for Kids 2011 is an exciting, collaborative project that has enabled colleagues, clients and friends to come together in support of a truly excellent cause."
Main sponsors of this event were Emprise and Man Group. All the money raised will go directly to the children's charity Brainwave, which develops bespoke home-based therapy and exercise programmes for children with developmental delay and other disabilities, and has Centres in the South East, South West and North West of the UK.
